Who We Are

The Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural Resources was established by enabling law (2019). The new college has three campuses located at Iguoriakhi (School of Agricultural Technology and Engineering), which doubles as the main campus and administrative headquarters of the college; Uromi (School of Forestry and Environmental Technology); and Agenebode (School of Aquaculture and Marine Technology)

Our Campuses across the State

Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ECANR)

Edo State Colleges of Agriculture (Iguoriakhi) and Agricultural Technology (Agenebode) had by restructuring metamorphosed to one unique College of Agriculture and Natural Resources with expanded, widened and deepened scope of academic, training, research and integrated extension services. The new College has three schools, namely:

  1. School of Agricultural Technology and Engineering at Iguoriakhi which doubles as the main campus and administrative headquarters of the College.
  2. School of Forestry and Environmental Technology being located at Uromi.
  3. School of Aquaculture and Marine Technology being located at Agenebode.

Vision

“The Vision of the College is to proactively serve as avenue for the production of skilled manpower for sustainable agricultural development, food and environmental security for Edo State in particular and Nigeria in general.”

Mission

“To produce graduates that are adequately equipped with the comprehensive theoretical knowledge, practical and entrepreneurial skills required for engaging in productive and economic agricultural production.” 

“To produce graduates geared towards self-employment.” 

“To Produce graduates with sufficient technical, productive and entrepreneurship skills who will be involved in production, research and entrepreneurship in any aspect of agriculture and other related disciplines.” 

“To produce graduates that are relevant to themselves, the industry and society and who can contribute effectively to national development goals in Agriculture” 

Mandate of the College

To create posts and offices tenable at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and to make appointments thereunto

To prescribe the academic requirements for new entrants from time to time;

To offer admission to prospective candidates from within and outside the State;
